The little young master was coming to the office. From the moment word got out from the secretary’s office, the whole company was overjoyed.
Sure, the CEO wasn’t terrifying every single day, but not having to see his icy face meant not having to be on edge.
No suffocating meetings today!
Su Nuo knew he was popular at the company, especially with Fu Baihan’s special assistant and secretary, who were always super warm to him. He felt a little smug about it. As long as he wanted to, who could possibly dislike him?
“Sis Xinxin~” As soon as Su Nuo walked into the company, he saw the secretary waiting for him at the front desk and went over with a big smile to say hi.
His smile hit the secretary right in the heart. She screamed silently: the little young master is way too sweet, aaaah!!!
Anyone with a little brother like this would treat him like their most precious treasure!
“I got you food from the Junlin Hotel, plus Coke and chips.” She took him upstairs, asking as they went, terrified the little young master wouldn’t be happy: “Do you want milk tea from downstairs this afternoon too? I didn’t ask what flavor you wanted today, so I haven’t ordered yet.”
Su Nuo flashed his little snaggletooth. “Thanks, Sis Xinxin. I’ll have it half sugar, with ice, and double pearls~”
“You got it!”
Little young master, please stop smiling. Even a married big sis’s heart is racing because of you. How can a boy be this good-looking?
No wonder the CEO was a brother-obsessed guy with no limits. Who wouldn’t want to spoil a little treasure like this?
After leaving Yu Ning’s house, Su Nuo felt incredibly light. No matter how much he prepared himself mentally, it was only ever a rehearsal. Only after actually facing it could he be sure he wasn’t affected anymore.
“Brother!” Su Nuo walked in happily and smelled the food in the air. “I’m starving.”
“Then eat first.” Fu Baihan got up from his desk, sat on the sofa, and set out the food containers one by one.
The secretary quietly closed the door. She knew it. When it came to taking care of the little young master, the CEO would never let any of them do the job.
A man in a suit taking care of his little brother was pretty hot too, but they didn’t dare stare. After all, none of them could compare to his precious little brother.
“Why didn’t you drive?” Fu Baihan asked once the kid had washed his hands and come over.
Didn’t he like any of the cars in the garage anymore? Was it time to buy a new one?
The kid had just gotten his license. Wasn’t he getting bored of things a little too fast?
“Didn’t feel like driving,” Su Nuo answered, holding up his bowl to sip some soup.
“I’ll buy you a new car. Which one do you like?” Fu Baihan barely hesitated.
“…” Su Nuo was speechless. He finally got it. The reason he got bullied so badly after the Fu family was gone was that he was way too spoiled right now.
“There’s nothing I like.” Su Nuo shook his head honestly. “The garage is already full. What would you even buy?”
“Put it at the new house.” Fu Baihan didn’t seem to care.
“Good thing it’s just the two of us right now.” Su Nuo looked at Fu Baihan. “Otherwise people would call you out for flexing.”
Fu Baihan’s lips curved. “That counts as flexing? Let me think, which kid was it that just asked me for a yacht?”
Su Nuo looked away. “That’s for the whole family to go on vacation later.”
“Eat.” Fu Baihan poked his cheek. “No slacking off this afternoon. Come help me sort files.”
“Then the secretaries will get annoyed with me.” Su Nuo was enjoying his food and didn’t care about Fu Baihan’s plans. He was only here to goof off anyway.
He remembered the time later on when he dated Chu Boyan. He’d worked part-time jobs and saved up money to buy him gifts, and Chu Boyan never even once treated him to a meal.
It wasn’t that he cared that much about material things. But looking back now, it just seemed ridiculous. Chu Boyan never really cared about him at all, or about what kind of life he was living.
How did he ever fall for Chu Boyan? Maybe back then he was just so starved for love that the moment someone showed any interest in him, he wanted to get close.
Now he had his brother, and his brother spoiled him so much that he was going to end up completely out of control. Someone like Chu Boyan, he wouldn’t even give a second glance.
Considering the way Fu Baihan raised him, the fact that Su Nuo wasn’t climbing on the roof and tearing off tiles was already pretty well-behaved.
Right after lunch, Su Nuo started yawning and said he was sleepy. Fu Baihan called him lazy while leading him into the lounge, and even thoughtfully drew the curtains.
“Eat and then sleep. How many pounds has the little piglet gained this year?” Seeing him already kick off his shoes and climb into bed, Fu Baihan checked the AC and set the timer.
Su Nuo buried himself in the bedding and said lazily, “You can weigh me at New Year’s when you sell me.”
“I couldn’t bear to.” Fu Baihan took his ankle and tucked it back under the thin blanket. “Selling you would be a total loss.”
Su Nuo huffed and still made demands. “If it gets too late, remember to wake me up.”
Fu Baihan didn’t really expect him to learn anything at the office. He only had him come so he could keep him in sight and stop worrying. After all this time with the kid clinging to him, he’d gotten used to having a little tail following him around.
A kid who’d gotten Fu Group shares even earlier than he had didn’t need to work that hard anyway.
If he liked shining brightly in the lively world of show business, then let him go and have fun however he wanted. Everything else, his big brother would take care of.
That afternoon, Ji Xinghui came by to sign a contract and grab a coffee, and noticed something different right away. He knocked on the door and said, all casual, “Whoa, President Fu’s having an office romance now?”
Fu Baihan didn’t even look up. “Get out.”
“I’m here on actual business. Who kicks people out like that?” Ji Xinghui strolled right in like he owned the place. Just as he bent down to grab some chips, Fu Baihan threw a fountain pen at him. He caught it with one hand. “Baihan, that’s too much.”
“Keep it down.” Fu Baihan finally looked at him.
“So which little treasure are you hiding?” Ji Xinghui lowered his voice. “You even brought them here. Talk about a miracle…”
“Star-ge?” The lounge door opened, and Su Nuo came out rubbing his eyes. His hair was a little messy, which only made him look even younger and cuter.
Ji Xinghui always thought being called “Brother Hui” made him sound like a gang boss, so he insisted Su Nuo call him this instead. When he saw Su Nuo, he laughed. “Oh, it’s you, Nuonuo.”
“Don’t rub your eyes,” Fu Baihan told Su Nuo.
Ji Xinghui leaned back on the sofa and stretched out his long legs. “Come here, Nuonuo. What’s fun about hanging out with your brother? Come with me this afternoon.”
“Nope. I’m working at my brother’s place today.” Su Nuo wandered over and leaned back in the exact same pose.
Fu Baihan got a headache. His biggest worry had arrived: these guys were going to be a bad influence on his little brother.
“Working? Baihan, how could you put our little brother to work?” Ji Xinghui reached out and ruffled Su Nuo’s hair. “Nuonuo’s eighteen now. He should get to see the grown-up world.”
Fu Baihan scoffed. “Your world isn’t the grown-up world. It’s the world of players. Stay away from my brother.”
Ji Xinghui switched partners faster than a rocket, and could expertly juggle three or four messy relationships at the same time.
Sometimes Fu Baihan honestly couldn’t figure out how he’d ended up being friends with this guy.
